This year, Northwest Firestop was named No. 63 in the Top Companies in Construction by Inc.com and 1,020 overall for fastest growing  private companies in America.

From their website:

"Why it's growing: The company does 95% of its work in Detroit, which increased its fire inspection rates after a string of fires in the late 1990s claimed lives because of broken hydrants and other faulty firefighting equipment."

 Professional Aplications:

Through Penetrations
Through penetrations consist of the following fire rated assemblies

  • Floors and Ceilings
  • Walls and Partitions
  • Smoke Barriers

Curtain Wall-Slab Edge
Curtain wall-slab edge is a particular type of exterior wall construction that is generally used in modern high-rise buildings. The wall is non-load bearing and is usually constructued of metal or glass.

Head of Wall Joint
Head of wall joints are between fire rated floors and fire rated walls. They will control the transmission of fire, heat and smoke before, during and after exposure to fire.

Construction Joints
Construction joints consist of linear openings between floor and/or wall assemblies included in the building design to accomodate movement between adjacent constructions. These joints must be sealed with firestop joint systems so that the overall fire resistance is not compromised.
